No Data Corruption & Data Integrity
See what No Data Corruption & Data Integrity is and how it could be beneficial for the files within your hosting account.
Data corruption is the accidental change of a file or the losing of information that often occurs during reading or writing. The reason can be hardware or software failure, and consequently, a file can become partially or fully corrupted, so it will no longer work correctly since its bits shall be scrambled or lost. An image file, for example, will no longer present a real image, but a random mix of colors, an archive will be impossible to unpack because its content will be unreadable, etc. In case such an issue appears and it's not noticed by the system or by an admin, the data will become corrupted silently and in case this happens on a disk drive that is a part of a RAID array where the data is synchronized between various different drives, the corrupted file shall be duplicated on all the other drives and the harm will become long term. A number of commonly used file systems either do not feature real-time checks or don't have high quality ones which will detect an issue before the damage is done, so silent data corruption is a rather common problem on hosting servers where huge volumes of data are stored.

No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Cloud Website Hosting
We guarantee the integrity of the info uploaded in every single
cloud website hosting account which is made on our cloud platform since we employ the advanced ZFS file system. The latter is the only one which was designed to avert silent data corruption through a unique checksum for each file. We will store your information on multiple NVMe drives that work in a RAID, so identical files will exist on several places at the same time. ZFS checks the digital fingerprint of all files on all the drives in real time and in the event that the checksum of any file differs from what it needs to be, the file system swaps that file with a healthy copy from some other drive from the RAID. No other file system uses checksums, so it is possible for data to be silently corrupted and the bad file to be reproduced on all drives over time, but since this can never happen on a server using ZFS, you don't have to concern yourself with the integrity of your info.

No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Semi-dedicated Hosting
In case you purchase one of our
semi-dedicated hosting packages, you will not need to worry about silent data corruption as we use ZFS - a high level file system that monitors all the files in real time. Each time you upload a file to your website hosting account, ZFS will assign a unique digital fingerprint to it - the so-called checksum. The file will be synchronized between a number of NVMe drives for redundancy, so if a drive fails, the other ones will take over. ZFS compares the checksum of all of the copies on the different drives and in case it detects a corrupted copy, it replaces it with a healthy one from another drive. This happens right away, so there will be no danger for any part of your content at any time. In comparison, other file systems execute checks after a system breakdown, but since they do not use anything similar to the checksums that ZFS uses, they cannot detect silently corrupted files, so a bad copy may be replicated on the other drives as well and you could lose important data. Because this isn't the case with ZFS, we can warrant the integrity of every single file you upload no matter what.
